After 20 years in the work force I accepted a job as a flight attendant and thought I had the “ideal” job. However, I soon realized this was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my working life. For 12 months, I tried unsuccessfully to lose 5 kilos, so when I was invited to a local Herbalife meeting to find out about the products, I became excited when I also saw a business opportunity.
I lost 5 kilos very easily, found I needed less sleep, I noticed improvement in my skin and I felt fantastic! People noticed my results and so my part-time business got started. I qualified to Supervisor very quickly and with the additional income I started to make around my shift work, I began to clear my credit card debt, pay off my car loan, and generally improve my lifestyle.
When my part-time income exceeded my full-time salary, I was able to make a choice, and so I resigned to work my Herbalife business from home. It was at this time that I met my husband, Albert. Using Herbalife products, he lost 22cms from his waist and 25 kilos in total. Over the next few years, Albert continued working in the Govt. Health System while I worked my Herbalife business. Life was great. It was always a goal to qualify for and attend the major events and vacations Herbalife offered. We enjoyed two all expenses paid cruises, have visited exotic locations in the Bahamas and South Pacific, stayed right on the beach at Waikiki for a 5 day paid vacation and had a fully paid trip to Los Angeles to attend the Masters Program, to name but a few. Life was indeed very comfortable!
Although Albert had a good income, a car, and job security, he had very little job satisfaction. With 8 years to retirement, he became dissatisfied and began looking for a new career direction. However, being in his early 50’s, options were very limited. Over time, he became more interested in our Herbalife business and finally made a decision to resign and join me in the business. In early 2000’s we moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast and started working from home together.
We are inspired by our team every single day and have learnt so much from them, which in turn has allowed us to become better mentors. To see them grow, develop their businesses and become more confident gives us tremendous pleasure. We love helping to change people’s lives both with the products and the opportunity. We live in a beautiful home, have a wonderful, flexible lifestyle and are grateful for wonderful health, for financial freedom and security, and for our personal growth.
